0x81000370 fallo en Messenger

Hola buenas noches, quisiera que alguien me pudiera solucionar el problema que tengo al conectar en Messenger, sale una ventana de error de conexion a Internet, y luego esa numeracion de 0x81000370, mi conexion a internet esta bien porque el resto me funciona, pero no puedo acceder tampoco a mi cuenta de hotmail.



Sin embargo desde el portatil si se puede.



Que solucion le podria dar?.

Los fallos de software, sin ser problema de virus, mejor ponerlos en el apartado de problemas con el software.

I have just upgraded my PC to Windows XP Pro (from XP Home) and have found that Microsoft IM, and in-fact, access to hotmail and MSN does not work from the Limited Accounts set-up on the PC. The specific error is “0x81000370”



The programs / websites work fine from the other account, which is an administrators account and work fine when I change the Limited Account to a Computer Administrator.



I have tried the following:



* Disabling the Norton Firewall & Anti-virus (no affect)

* Re-installing IM v6.1 (no affect)

* Disabling the XP Firewall (no affect)



– although the above should not make a difference since it works when the account is changed to Administrator.



Finally, from an earlier posting, I have also tried the following procedure, which also did not work:



"1. The date on your computer needs to be set properly -- double click the clock verify that

the time and date are set.



2. Clear your IE cache and cookies -- open Internet Explorer, click the Tools menu, then

Internet Options, then click the Delete Files button, and when that's complete click the

Delete Cookies button.



3. Check your IE Security settings -- open Internet Explorer, click the Tools menu, then

Internet Options, then Advanced tab, scroll to the Security section, and verify that "Check

for server certificate revocation" is unchecked. Also verify that 'Use SSL 2.0' and Use SSL

3.0' is checked, then click OK.



4. Click Start, then Run, and enter the following: regsvr32 softpub.dll - then click OK"

La solucion al problema, radica ejecutando los siguientes pasos:



1. Eliminar la version del msn que tienes (tendras la 6.0) y deberias tener la 6.1, esto se realiza desde INICIO/CONFIGURACION/PANEL DE CONTROL y pulsando en agregar y quitar programas y quitas el msn.



2. Para eliminar las conversaciones y otros ficheros de configuración del messenger. Una vez desinstalado el Messenger. Elimina todos los archivos y la carpeta MSN messenger que encontraras en:



Documents ans settings/[nombre de usuario que estas usando]/Datos de programa/Microsoft/MSN Messenger
