AGREGAR O QUITAR PROGRAMAS (solucionado)

Hace unos dias tuve problemas con el ordenador por algun virus. He solucionado casi todo pero pasa lo siguiente. Si utilizo "Agregar o Quitar Programas" y voy a la pestaña "Instalacion de Windows" aparece un mensaje que me dice: "RUNDLL32 error en el programa", omitir no funciona y al apretar cerrar aparece otro mensaje que dice "Rundll32 ha provocado un error en SETUPX.DLL" y no se puede usar la funcion. Utilizo Windows Milenium. Agradecere cualquier ayuda.

When I go to control panel>install/uninstall>windows setup, up pops an applet that says:



'Rundll32'

I close that applet then I get another:



Rundll32 has caused an error in SetupXdll, rundll will now close.



I found this same problem on another support site, and the answer that worked for that one was:



"Your setupx.dll error is usually the result of first having deleted some

empty folders in Program Files that were placed there when Win Me was

installed that are used for optional components of Win Me and then using a

registry cleaner such as EasyCleaner which removed some necessary entries

required for Add/Remove Programs | Windows Setup to function because the

target folders were no longer present. You can avoid this happening in future

by not deleting such folders and similarly not deleting any values in the key

HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Set up\VarLDID"

Según parece es un problema del Me si se encuentra con carpetas vacias al operar en Agregar/quitar programas. Se supone que siguiendo las indicaciones que ofrecen, solucionará el problema.

Para facilitarle la reparacion, al haber ya incidido en el problema, vea de seleccionar el script contenido entre líneas y hacer un copiar y pegar con el bloc de notas y guardar el fichero como AGREGAR.REG, y luego ejecutarlo con doble click, aceptando los cambios:
